Tired and Happy~

I'm back from California!!

My buddy Linlin and I went to Anime Expo, and while we spent maybe a third of the time in cosplay, we had a great time just hanging out and roaming the city. I packed three pairs of shoes going down there, and I came home with one due to boot-destruction. But it was still pretty great regardless!

We stayed for a week, and the flight back was abysmal (thunderstorms causing mild turbulence but major Alien Warnings due to Roswell, NM) and our 11:30 landing ended up being a 2:30 landing. And then work that... same? next? morning. Six hours later, essentially.

Then, just because some friends were in town, I went to ScrewAttack Gaming Convention, where I stole my friend's megaman blaster, streetpassed two dozen people, and took a selfie with Andre of Black Nerd Comedy.

And also my coord of the day. I don't really classify this as much of anything, as it was hella casual. I just really wanted to look cute, okay?

I cut my hair a little, too, since it's getting to be that Too Hot time of Texas.

....I think I'm going to get breakfast, and then maybe doze in front of the TV. I'm still drained like a depressing ballpit of despair, and I haven't actually crawled out of bed properly yet!

Con report to kind-of come soon! Hopefully!

'Till next time!! ♥

It's been forever!

Hello, hello! Goodness, it's been a while.

I'd been meaning to post after Anime Matsuri, but I was so disillusioned about life that I opted for moping, shopping away my sorrows, eating cake, gaining weight, and shopping.

Also, it's convention season, which means lolita goes on the side because it's less effort. (Seriously guys, wearing clothes is way easier than making them.)

Anyway, it's already mid-June and I'm already working on things for my fourth convention of the year! Back in March, I attended Aselia Con, which is one of my favorite conventions ever. It's a little con focused on the Tales Of video game series, and  while it's one of the smallest conventions ever, I think I've made the most friends there. Year Two was this year, which I regrettably only attended for a day, but I saw a bunch of familiar faces and met some new ones.

To everyone from Aselia, I love you <3

Then, early that Saturday morning, my sweet angelic Nana (of Banana Princess Cosplay) and my good pal Radio and I headed to catch the Megabus to Houston for Anime Matsuri, one of the worst conventions I'd ever been to. A rainy ride with a weak sunrise and an hour-long delay landed us in muggy Houston and a mile walk to the convention center. Seriously, I'd never been through such a crowded wreck of a convention. Honestly, 90% of the trip seemed like a waste save for these:

An angel exists on earth by the name of Reika. And I got to take photos with her.

I bought her matching glasses, and she put them on~
I feel special. (Interpret at will.)

And with an autographed photobook, hanging out with great friends, and having many good memories that consisted maybe 10% of the actual convention, we made our way back home. Radio and I caught Tiger & Bunny: The Rising, the sole reason this beautiful soul even came to visit (at which, near the finale, my health reminded me of its constant 8% status), and then I moped as we returned Radio to the magical land known as SoCal.

Then, life returned to normal.

Well, as normal as my life gets, really. I fixed my car lock, then I get to take it apart again next month and fix another door; went to meets, birthday parties, ate cake, didn't unpack for weeks, same ol' same ol'.

A-kon was last weekend. Wasn't the best, but sure as hell wasn't nearly as bad as last year. Good on you, A-kon. Good on you. Not quite worth the $65 but hey, bought some nice stuff and made a ton more new friends.

Now I'm just tired. I think I beat the con plague punch by getting sick at the con as opposed to the Monday following. Now I'm just sewing.

You probably won't hear from me again until mid-July, if I don't die at Anime Expo from the sheer amount of stars I shall be seeing.

And probably more frills; I miss them.

'Til next time~ ♥

Meta Lucky Pack 2013 + last week!

I am now in the possession of one (1) Metamorphose ~Temps de Fille~ lucky pack.
First ever Lucky Paaaaack~

So my frilly big sisters said this blouse most likely wouldn't fit, so I decided to not try and sold that ASAP.

So, excitement aside, let's talk about other exciting things that happened this past week! I had a birthday! I'm now old!

#SelfieOlympics2014 - ice skating backwards

You can get a lot of really neat things if you go some places on your birthday. And also if your wonderful friends buy you cake and obnoxiously sing to you in IHOP because the guys at Chili's don't anymore.

It's been a rough start to solid adulthood, but now I can rent a car... When I get a license... so I can drive legally... one day. SOMEDAY. We won't worry about the details!

'Til next time, Toodles~ ♥
